For North America's more than one-half million trappers, the purpose of trapping
varies - from assisting wildlife biologists in furbearer studies, to population
and disease control, protection against soil erosion, and for food, clothing and
income. And yet, thanks to good management practices, furbearers are more numerous
in North America today than 100 years ago. The public needs to know that
there is no trapping of endangered species and that we continue to research and
encourage the use of the most effective and humane trapping techniques. Trapping
has been an integral part of our American Heritage, and we intend to see that
it continues to contribute to abundant wildlife and sound management programs. —

As a result of Hurricane Katrina there are many areas in both Louisiana and Mississippi
that are inaccessible. Due to these circumstances, we have been notified,
by the USPS that Standard A and Periodicals mail delivery to a specified list
of zip codes must be suspended indefinitely. We are asking all of our customers
to comply with this request by the USPS, by deleting names from their mailing
lists, which are destined for these areas. We will not be able to store these
copies until this suspension is lifted. It will be up to you to revise your lists
by deleting these zip codes. Those mailing lists, which we already have in house,
will be revised to delete the zip code listings for the closed post offices.
Any zip codes beginning with the listed 3 digits below are to be deleted from
your lists indefinitely. USPS will notify us when the suspension has been lifted.
