Destroying the Myth
For years, animal rights groups have succeeded in demonizing trapping as cruel and inhumane.  This new video explodes the heart of the anti-trapping strategy as false. This video has proven to be a successful educational tool, showing trapping as it actually occurs.

Trapping Handbook — A Guide for Better Trapping

Editors: Norman Gray, Lloyd R. Hassler MD, Don Hoyt Sr., Willis Kent, Charles Poches Jr., and C. Pete Rickard
Charles Poches, Jr. is particularly appreciated for writing the chapter on Laws and Rights.
A revision committee also made significant contributions to this second edition, including: Michael W. Fall, Chris Flynn, Cliff Brown, David Sollman, and Todd Roggenkamp.

The NTA Trapper's Handbook has been an extremely popular book for novice trappers as well as a text for trapping instructors and students since introduction in 1984.

• Everything you need to identify and know common American furbearers
• Conveniently organized with individual chapters on each species
• Learn to catch furbearers, prepare and market fur pelts
• Most-used text for U.S. trapper education programs
• Enhances your knowledge and interests in our abundant furbearing resources

Many things happen in 23 years. Within the conservation community, millions of dollars have been invested in recent years as well to develop and test traps that perform best. Within this same time period, the ranges of several furbearers have expanded naturally as well as with the aid of re-introduction programs. Furbearer ranges are either stable and consistent with our earlier maps, or they have increased in size. In several instances, some species have increased their ranges remarkably. We are pleased to bring you this revised edition to add value to your experiences in the outdoors.

The Illusions of Animal Rights--By Russ Carman

'Although you may feel, as many people do, that the animal rights movement does not affect you, that you can accept some of the ideaology, but reject most, this "down to earth" look at the new phenomenon called "animal rights" will open your eyes to the fact that no American can continue to "sit on the fence" when it comes to this issue. Both sides are pulling you. The direction in which you decide to go could change the concept of moral behavior towards animals in America.
Every American owes to him/herself, and to the animals that inhabit this world, to gain a better understanding of this new phenomenon called "animal rights".
